We’re a bunch of reviewers and readers who got quite annoyed that there was no special event to celebrate Aussie authors.

Aussie Author Month was started in 2011 and as well as promoting our favourite national authors, is also for raising awareness and donations for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. We do this through social media – Facebook, Twitter, and blogs, and there are many others who join in – readers, librarians, sellers, publishers and authors themselves!

Genre and style doesn’t matter, it’s about the love of literature and the hope to bring that joy of reading to a wider community.
